A cabin without these items is not a cabin, it's a shell and missing these important points can cost you a lot of money. So let us show you what complete really means !

Ordering

When ordering please allow a min of 4-6 weeks lead time. In many cases, you could have your order in as little as a week or two but this depends on current work load.

What do I need to do??

Each of our clients wonders how the whole process comes together. What they need to do in order to get ready for their cabin, shed or other structure. Here is a brief overview of the steps leading to having your structure ready to use.

As we build many different structures, some of the following may not apply to what you are buying. We will use a cabin as the example in this scenario.

So you have decided on buying a cabin. Here are the steps involved.

The first step is to decide on size and whether you want a loft or not. Once the size and configuration is decided upon, we finalize the cost of the building.

Make the deposit. We require a deposit on all items ordered as each is 100% unique and therefore once the order is placed, it is not possible to cancel.

In most cases, the area where the cabin is to be placed has been leveled and any foundation is already in place once we arrive. HOWEVER, we understand that not everyone can do this on their own so we can help you either once we arrive or we can pre arrange to have this done before we get there. Most foundations on the smaller buildings compromise of a simple series of concrete blocks. On larger buildings, poured concrete slabs or poured concrete piers are used. Again don't feel overwhelmed, we can help you with the details. In most cases we are an integral part of this process in some way.

Ok so you have decided you need power at your cabin.

Well there are many ways to go about this. If you are already handy, you may opt to take out a homeowners permit, which allows you to wire the building yourself and save the money you would pay an electrician. In some cases we can hire an electrician to wire the building for us. Of course there are some people who live off-grid. In other words you do not have service of any kind or maybe you do not want to connect to the local hydro provider. In these instances, we have designed very inexpensive lighting and electrical systems which use large batteries, inverters, generators and/or some other source of charging system.

Plumbing is also often on the agenda.

This area has many possibilities such as a standard septic system, incinerating toilets, composting toilets, water treatment plants and so on. Again we usually can help in organizing these things but they should be in place before the cabin arrives.

Erecting the structure.

Again in this case there are different options, we can erect it for you in it's entirety. You can participate for the experience, you can do it yourself, hire someone to do it for you. There are many options here but rest assured we can work something out to make it easy for you.

What if I don't want to or can't do anything to help?

No problem. We can arrange everything for you so you can just sit back and relax. After years of remote setups, we have the experience and the ingenuity to get it done. Of course, this only applies for areas within our reach. For areas further away, we will work with you or do our very best to guide you along.
